Our list of conference presenters continues with... Martin Drury Arts Director for the Arts Council, Ireland Founder-Director of The Ark, Dublin Martin Drury holds a first class honors M.A. and a Higher Diploma in Education from University College Dublin. He has worked in the arts for over thirty years and has been Arts Director with the Arts Council (Ireland's national agency for funding and developing the arts) for the past five . He oversees the work of seven teams including Arts Participation; Local Arts; Young People, Children and Education; Venues; and Festivals. He is also convener of the Arts Council’s Policy and Strategy Committee. Dr. Manon van de Water Professor University of Wisconsin - Madison Dr. Manon van de Water (PhD in Theatre, Arizona State University; Drs. in Slavic Languages and Literature, University of Leiden, The Netherlands) teaches courses in theatre for youth and theatre research and directs and supervises the theatre for young audiences productions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests have a strong international focus, and include the interdependence of meaning and material conditions in theatre for adults and youth, Russian theatre, international theatre for youth, and theatre and drama in volatile regions. She has published widely on theatre, drama education, and theatre for young audiences in national and international journals. Her first book, Moscow Theatres for Young People: A Cultural History of Ideological Coercion and Artistic Innovation, 1917-2000 was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2006. Her second book,
